New Made Item: This high quality U.S. WW2 hat known by its official designation as Cap, Winter is comprised of a 100% cotton outer shell with a 100% fine wool interior. It was worn folded up, like a baseball cap, during warmer weather or flaps down and secured by a steel buckle round the chin to fend off winter conditions.
Actually many GIs wore these under their standard issue M1 helmets; however, these caps were in very short supply during the battle of the bulge during the winter of 1944/45. Luckily, IMA has a stockpile of these to keep any head warm and dry during the coldest months of the year.
