This is a great “Attic Find” condition Austrian-made Ersatz (replacement) bayonet with scabbard, made to fit the Austro-Hungarian Empire’s Mannlicher M1895 straight pull bolt action Rifle, which was the principal Rifle of the first World War for the Austrian Empire. When WWI began, there was a shortage of bayonets, so these “Emergency Issue” bayonets were produced quickly to meet the need.
