COLT 1911-Dated 1927

This 1911 Government Model from Colt is a 1927 production handgun made for the commercial market. This is shown by the lack of military inspection marks and the location (forward of the ejection port) and type (iteration 7) of Colt Emblem used. This combined with the ordnance acceptance mark “S” on the barrel prove its 1927 date on manufacture and its commercial lineage. Bore is very good with strong rifling and the finish is fair with pitting on the left rear of the slide and wear marks around the ejection port.
