In visual salute to this vital and selfless role, the American Walnut wooden stock is laser etched and hand painted with various iconic images including a medevac helicopter hovering above the rhythmic horizon, an EMS ambulance used to facilitate patient care, and a depiction of a paramedic and an emergency medical technician after attending to a person’s medical needs. On the wood forearm is the universally recognized EMS blue Star of Life emblem with the Rod of Aesculapius. Included is a guiding principal in text SO OTHERS MAY LIVE underscored by a graphic sinus rhythm.

But there are still a few frontier staples that were so effective and ahead of their time that they remain in use today. Take, for instance, the intimidating octagonal barrels commonly found on the repeating rifles of that period. These heavy-duty workhorses sported added mass and extra weight to aid in heat absorption, making them the forerunners to the bull barrels used on modern target and varmint rifles.

So in honor of this timeless barrel style, Henry replaced the standard round barrel normally used on their world-famous .22 LR and .22 Magnum rifles with a classic 20 inch octagonal model, like those favored by the cowpunchers, lawmen, homesteaders and outlaws who blazed the trail westward across America. Henry rounded out this traditional look with an easy-to-adjust Marbles semi-buckhorn rear sight with a diamond insert and a highly visible brass beaded front sight seated in standard 3/8 inch dovetail slots. A metal barrel band secures both the barrel and the high-capacity tubular magazine to the highgrade American walnut stock.

If you prefer a more modern look, the receiver is grooved so you can top off any rifle in this line with your choice of scopes. Both the stock and forearm are crafted of the same richly grained hand-finished American walnut typically found on rifles costing up to three times as much.

The American Rodeo Tribute Edition rifle is built on the award-winning Golden Boy platform featuring a strikingly engraved nickel plated receiver cover with 24K gold plated highlights. The right side features an image of a cowboy roping a calf while his lasso continues from one panel to the other. In the background of the right-rear panel, a crowd of cowboys is gathered at the fence to cheer on their buddy.On the left side, the words “Rodeo Tribute” are prominent, with some leafy-vine scroll engraved in the upper-left and lower-right corners. A brave cowboy is wrangling a steer, and he just about has the animal on the ground. Both figures are 24K gold plated, as is the panel’s border.

The rifle’s American Walnut stock has some bull-riding action on it, with a cowboy trying to get to that eight-second mark on a bucking bull. The forend wood has the words “Cowboy Up,” with leafy-vine scroll to either side, all surrounded by a connecting border.

Truckers Tribute Edition Features

The Golden Boy Truckers Tribute Edition features a traditional 20″ octagonal barrel outfitted with classic fully adjustable buckhorn sights. Work the silky action and you’ll instantly feel the craftsmanship that sets an authentic Golden Boy apart from other lever action repeaters.

On the right side of the rifle is an image of an eastbound 18-wheeler moving commodities coast to coast across the wide expanse of the United States. It has been expertly cut by hand engraver Heidi Roos of Baron Engraving and plated in 24K gold with a banner that reads TRUCKERS MOVE AMERICA. Framing the image and impressed directly onto the receiver cover is classic truck pin striping that any trucker can identify with.

The left side of the receiver cover features an engraved image of a convoy of trucks heading west on a ribbon of tree-lined highway. This image is also plated in 24K gold and sports the rightful banner BOUND FOR GLORY. The classic truck pin striping detail continues with bright cuts highlighting the artwork.

The .22 LR’s tubular magazine holds 16 rounds of .22 LR, 21 rounds of Short. Weighing in at 6.75 lbs. they’re a pleasure to carry, shoulder and shoot, whether you’re just plinking or going after small game.
