The finish/color is a Green/Brown fleck pattern used by the 1st, 2nd & 3rd SS Divisions in Russia at the battle of Kursk, the largest tank battle in history. Was also worn in France in 1944- 45. Featuring a single SS symbol decal with wire surround. Every helmet has been hand painted, textured and aged, so none will be the same. We have also aged and darkened the leather liner to give it a one-of-a-kind personalization as if it was picked up after a battle put away in a safe place and rediscovered 70 years later.

The Battle of Kursk was a World War II engagement between German and Soviet forces on the Eastern Front near Kursk (450 kilometres or 280 miles southwest of Moscow) in the Soviet Union in July and August 1943. The German offensive was code-named Operation Citadel (German: Unternehmen Zitadelle) and led to one of the largest armored clashes in history, the Battle of Prokhorovka.
