Original Items: These are original British-Manufactured and marked stripped breech blocks for the MkIV Martini-Henry rifle. The MkIV featured a longer operating lever and much sturdier extractor, which required that the bottom front of the breech block be rounded to make room.
These breech blocks will all have British markings and proofs, which vary quite a bit. Some may have been converted from MkIII breech blocks, and will be marked as such. There may also be Nepalese arsenal markings.
