Original Item: The side screw, also called a lock screw, fastens the lock to the stock. Although most flint and percussion locks are held to the stock with two machine screws, the Brunswick back-action lock uses one machine screw and one small wood screw. This is the machine screw.
Considering the age of the screws and guns and the various sources of both, the screw will most likely require fitting.
