Original Item: The barrel of the famous German MP38 and MP40 machine pistols was retained by a large barrel nut (berwurfmutter) that pressed against a thick split washer retained in a groove around the barrel. The German nomenclature for the ring is Ring (geteilt, berwurfmutter). These split rings are rare and have not been available for many years.
