Original Imperial German WWI Prussian Steel Signal Telegraph Troop EM-NCO Belt Buckle

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice rare Imperial German WWI Prussian Steel Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß), designed for use by Signals and Telegraph troops. It is 105mm wide, intended to help distribute the load better, and has steel loops at either end, where a wire spool would be attached to let out cable. This buckle features the standard stamped metal box construction, which originally was painted, but has since all worn away. The front features the Prussian Crown, encompassed by a dual rope-like border within which, against a ribbed background, is the Prussian motto GOTT MIT UNS (God [is] With Us), and a spray of laurels. To the reverse is its welded-on buckle catch, and a metal prong bar with dual prongs, for the belt’s retaining tongue.
