Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent condition, most likely unissued, Japanese Army “Last Ditch” Ceramic Earthenware Canteen. These were made in the very last day of WWII, when access to the required metals was virtually gone, so like with the grenades, they started making them from earthenware.
The canteen measures approximately 6″W x 6 7/8″H x 2 1/2″, and has a heavy ceramic body with a tannish finish. It still has straw wrapped around the neck for protection, though the wrapping is somewhat delicate.
Overall a very rare Japanese WWII Canteen. Ready to add to your collection!
