Original Items: Only One Set Available. Circa 1976-1980, this is a HI/LO Free Fall Parachutist helmet and parachute. The helmet was officially known as; Helmet, Parachutist’s, Free Fall, Type I, Without Communication Equipment. It has a nice label on the interior denying the size as small and on the exterior it has Sierra marked stat plates with NSN. This helmet was used for hi-lo or lo-lo parachute drops by specially trained troops for infiltration under the radar. The helmet has a black leather outer cover with 3 ribbed semi stiff inserts covered by black cloth.
Also included is a HI/LO jump parachute with rigging and harness. It appears to be complete and in very good condition.
