Original Item: Very Few Available. Introduced 1 December 1944, as a means to identify members of the Signal Corps Photographic Companies already set up in February 1942. The Official US Army Photographer consists of a Dark Blue Brassard, with Golden Yellow block letters that reads OFFICIAL U.S. ARMY PHOTOGRAPHER, embroidered on a black rectangular insignia, bordered Golden Yellow, 1 1/4 inch wide and 2 3/4 inch long. The armband is constructed of blue wool and measures approximately 18 inches long by 4 inches wide.
