Original Item: Only One Available. These are exceptionally rare Type-A flight trousers as issued to American pilots during World War Two. Army Air Corps pilots of the late 1930s were issued the classic A-2 horsehide leather flight pants for wear in cold weather while piloting their open cockpit P-26 fighters.
This pair of US Army Air Corps Pre-WW2 PILOT A-2 leather flight pants are in very good condition with supple “milk chocolate” brown horsehide leather construction. Most interestingly, they measure to a Size 34 Waist x 32 Inseam, and boast the original brown leather and elasticized black cotton integral suspenders.
Fully functional “TALON” metal “bell” zippers with brown leather pulls down the front, and feature a covered brass “glove” snap closure flap at the middle front waist, a dual snap closure fly, and snap flap closure pockets at the front knees and each side of the back waist. A fine example of extremely rare, original US Army Air Corps Pre-WW2 type A-2 flight pants.
