The Stag 15 Retro offers a reproduction of the classic M16A2 models with a few modern upgrades. It is built around a 4140 steel chromemoly heavy profile barrel with A2 flash hider and a 12 thermoplastic handguard with double heat shields to provide better heat mitigation. The riflelength gas system is partnered with an A2 front sight and an M16 Manganese Phosphate chrome lined bolt carrier group. The Retro is completed with a rugged and durable A2 buttstock and pistol grip removable A3 carry handle and Picatinny rail.This 5.56 Nato model has a 20 barrel and a black hardcoat anodized finish.
