Original Item: Just released from British Stores, these are ORIGINAL fabric (silk/rayon blend) 27″ x 24″ maps produced by the British War Office with dates from WW2 updated in 1953. Marked RESTRICTED, these maps are double sided showing great detail of military interest with sealed selvage to minimize fraying. Used by both COMMANDOS and AIR CREWS for survival, fabric maps could endure the most arduous conditions and would not disintegrate if wet.
This map was issued to the British S.A.S. in the Gulf War and is featured and ILLUSTRATED bearing General Schwarzkopf’s signature in the book “BRAVO TWO ZERO” by Sgt. Andy McNab SAS detailing S.A.S. raids into Iraq.
